FAQ 1: How does it work?

SteamPro Condensate Removal Device (SP-CRD) operates on the physics law known as two-phase flow. This means that steam and condensate are both competing for passage through the same nozzle. The reason SP-CRD works effectively is because much more condensate can pass through this nozzle than steam. This means that a nozzle discharges fluid by volume.Its primary function is the immediate and complete removal of condensate as soon as it is formed, keeping the steam losses at a minimum. Our standard is less than one kilogram of live steam loss per hour under varying condensate loads. The SP-CRD system is made entirely of stainless steel. Its body and all its components including nozzle, a special protective strainer assembly and some very important applications utilize engineering know-how rarely used when applying conventional steam traps.
